Travels with Bill 2
Here's Page 2 of Travels with Bill... | When Spinal Tap sold off their gear, Chris Isaak's management bought a couple of their legendary flight cases. Lots of folks wanted their pictures taken with these cases. Here's Bill taking the opportunity to pose with some rock 'n' roll history backstage at an Isaak show.

Johnny Burns with Edith Grove at her CD release party. Johnny is an amazing guitarist and songwriter now living in Albuquerque. You can hear John on many of John Prine's albums with his rippin' Tele and Strat tones. His guitar teachers were his dad Jethro Burns and his uncle Chet Atkins...really! Check him out at local gigs. After tweaking all of Johnny's guitars at my shop, he is ready to roll!
Hershel Yatovitz - guitarist from the Chris Isaak band - playing the 1956 Stratocaster I got him for his 19th birthday back in 1984. I have refretted it twice as he burns through many tours and recordings. Hershel is a monster player with a killer tone.
With Al Hurricane. Every time I tweak his guitar he just kills me with another road story. He is a funny cat and still sells out venues around the USA. Rock on, Al!
Los Angeles NAMM 2007. My kinda nut: Bruce Zinky. Designer of many of the Fender custom shop amps we dig so much, he now runs Zinky amps and Supro guitars. Old pal from my California days. I spent lots of time chasing tone with him. It was great fun and always a good learning experience.
Catching up with New York bass builder Roger Sadowsky at NAMM 2007. I am grateful he agreed to send bass players my way for tech work as they tour the Southwest. I love his basses and always learn a lot from veterans like Roger. Tone to spare!
Award winning ambient touring/recording artist Robert Rich and I catch up at NAMM. I hot rodded his steel guitar years back and as of February 2007 we are collaborating on building him a custom steel guitar from scratch with some special features. Check his site out at RobertRich.com.
A quick catch up with Leslie West of Mountain. In 1981, I met him at a show I was teching at and he taught me how to play Mississippi Queen. I got to spend an hour with him at a long sound check drinking coffee and blabbing guitars. New York's finest!
